At Paynesville Primary School we aim to create an environment where staff and families work together to provide the best opportunities for all students. It is our mission to equip students with skills, attitudes, and values which will allow them to be confident and compassionate participants in an increasingly complex world.

ANZAC Day Ceremony
On Friday April 22nd we held our school ANZAC Day ceremony.
Guest Speakers included Oskar Watkinson, Jay Curtis-Webster, Callie Smith, Rebecca Medling, Jaime Fordham and Peter Wertheimer. This was a wonderful event that gave the students an insight into the history of the ANZACs and the ANZAC spirit.
On ANZAC Day April 25 we had a group of 72 students and 70 adults represent our school at the 9am ANZAC Ceremony at the Paynesville RSL. This was a very special event for our community and there was an overwheling feeling of pride in our town, in our support of the Paynesville RSL and in our veterans. Well done to the RSL and to the town. Great turn out. Lest we forget.

Basketball is Going Well
This term we have 5 student teams and 1 dads and staff team. Our youngest bunch are Mr Floyd's team who are a mixture of grade 1,2,3 and 4 students. They have had 2 games and are improving out of sight.
Jarryd Floyd handing out some pieces of basketball wisdom! For the record they only lost by 3 points this week.
China Trip - What a Wonderful Experince!
In the September School holidays a group of 22 stduents, parents and staff travelled to China to visit our sister school in Changshu. It was a very special time to reconnect with students that we had hosted back in Paynesville. It was also nice to meet their parents and spend some quality time together. As well as meeting up with our friends in Changshu we also visited Shanghai (Just an amazing and modern city of 26 million people), Suzhou (Canals, Gardens and Markets), X'ian (Walled city and home of the terracotta warriors) and finally Beijing (The Sqaure, The Forbidden City and the Geat Wall).
Here we are outside our sister school in Changshu. We had just enjoyed a tour of their kindergarden.
Steven and Jo McKinnon with Kevin, and David and the twins parents. The McKinnon Family hosted the boys when they visited with their school earlier this year. Both families are friends for life.
In Shanghai after a long day of markets, temples and gardens the boys are looking a bit dusty!
Nick and Jaime Fordham loved walking along the Great Wall. The cable car up and the toboggan ride down were pretty good too!!!
Thankyou to everyone that joined us on this amazing adventure. A big word of congratulations to all of the children who flew to China and went on a real adventure - while still in primary school!!
